Featured Past Events
As the holiday highs and lows evolve into future hopes and expectations, this self-expressive half-day will offer unique talks, meditations, writing exercises, and optional sharing around the creation and nourishment of compassionate paths of resilience from shame, expectations, and self-criticism. Each participant will have a safe space to explore any and all of the above in whatever way calls.

A weekly half-hour online mindful writing class geared for parents, caregivers, and educators for ten weeks starting Tuesday, May 26 at 10 pm PT
Online through Zoom. Zoom link provided upon registration. Mindfulness, writing, and life are all journeys. Every breath, every word, every interaction is its own unique practice. These journeys inform and deepen each other. As a longtime professional writer/writing teacher and meditator/mindfulness teacher, I have found that mindfulness helps break down writer’s block and build up authentic self-expression.
Only open to USC faculty, USC staff, USC alumni, and USC students
Led by Amy Spies, an experienced practitioner of mindfulness meditation as well as a professional writer/producer with credits spanning over 30 years of work in television, film and other media outlets, this group will explore the nuance of writing from the deeply connected space of mindfulness. Meets online on Tuesdays at noon March 24 - April 21st.
