Your Instructor
After first designing and teaching a mindful writing group for members of a non-profit shelter for underserved, often homeless individuals, Amy then created and taught a a meditation group for writers at InsightLA mindfulness center. Spies also developed courses in Mindful Writing and Mindful Writing Hero's Journey at USC and UCLA. She regularly leads mindful writing sessions and workshops at mindfulness centers, women’s shelters, business organizations, Inner Kids Collaborative(classes for caregivers and families during the pandemic), global workshops, and for InsideOUT Writers: a nonprofit that teaches writing to incarcerated youth.
